I,too, have rescues, who have been going to Luke for the past four years. They were always very timid with other groomers before I found Luke at Purrfect Grooming. Now, they actually do a happy dance in the car as we pull into the parking lot! Luke is caring and patient and truly loves dogs. He always takes the time to get down on the floor and warmly greet my German Shepherd and Aussie with hugs and pets. My aloof German Shepherd even gives him kisses! (This from the girl who adamantly hates to be brushed at home.)
He even took the time once to show me a hard to find lump he found on one of my dogs, which fortunately turned out benign. I cannot speak highly enough about their service and care.
My dogs are ALWAYS treated well and come home looking like a million bucks!

I started taking our Goldendoodle to Purrfect Grrooming over a year ago and he hasn't been anywhere else to be groomed since. They've always done an outstanding job! Usually right before Spring/Summer it is tougher to get an appointment within the same week of calling, so make sure to call in advance. Highly reccommend to anyone in the area :)

We always bring our dog Sam to Purrfect Grooming. It certainly isn't the least expensive place around, but they take such good care of our little boy...I'd rather wait a little longer and have it done right. We have a very hard time brushing Sam at home without his getting upset...however, at Purrfect Grooming, they are able to make him look beautiful and enjoy it, too!

This is the rst time I have ever posted a review, but I wanted to commend Luke for the gentleness with which he always treats my girl Karo. She is a rescue (rescued from an abusive situation) who is very loving but extremely timid. Karo is absolutely terried of nail clipping and it is impossible at home event with multiple people. Initially I would have to carry her into the shop. Now she walks in ready for her nail clipping (which they follow with ling) and is happy to see Luke. Karo is always treated with love and tender care at Purrfect Grrooming, and I really appreciate this and the fact that I can walk in for this service without an appointment. I nd the pricing very reasonable (and far less than what our vet charges). I highly recommendthem.

I have been coming here for a couple years now, Harley is always excited and never forgets going there. I have taken her other places but no one does a better job than them! They also do awesome hair styles for pets and do have dog hair dye. Harley will soon have hot pink ears and tail!

Rags and Sinbad wouldn't go any place besides Purrfect Grrooming. Their prices are competitive for the area and remember.... "You get what you pay for." Luke takes pride in his work and it shows. My boys looks gorgeous when they leave and I take comfort in knowing that they are treated kindly. I'm extremely picky with my critters so if I trust Purrfect Grroming, you should too.

I've tried less expensive groomers but it ended up costing more because I've had to had my "little man" treated for the cuts he's gotten from less careful clippers. Plus Mystic doesn't hate going here as much as he hates other places. Doesn't sound like an endorsement but it really is. I won't go any place else now.

Luke and his wife Kim personally run this terric place. They're competent, friendly, reasonably priced and a local family-run business.
My girl *hates* going but they handle her with great condence and care. I can recommend these people without reservation.
And yes, be sure and call in advance (how much in advance depends on the time of the year). They stay busy.

I was referred to Luke and Purrfect Grrooming after I had bad experiences at two other groomers. What a wonderful experience! He listened to my request and got it exactly right -- Bear looks gorgeous, smells great (no more super industrial-smelling shampoo that stinks up the car on the ride home), and most importantly, came home happy and stress-free. Best of all, the price was a fraction of what I expected (and what I had paid elsewhere for much inferior service). Luke, you have a customer for

Luke Gethins and his Purrfect Grrooming Co. are Northern Virginia's Grooming Gurus! If you can manage to get an appointment (hint: must schedule in advance) you will be blown away by their mastery and extreme attention to detail. Their knowledge of breeds (including mutts like my beloved Grace!) and area resources for dog lovers is phenomenal. The Purrfect Grrooming Co. are everything a professional Grooming business should be and more.

After relocating from Las Vegas we did not know where to start on finding a good groomer. Of course, we had to learn the hard way receiving some horrible haircuts, especially for the price. Mom found Purrfect Grrooming and read the pawsitive reviews; and she knew if you had to wait some time to get in they must be good. Not only was mom so pleased with the results, they are located less than a mile from our house! We will be loyal customers as long as we live in Northern Virginia!
